Pros
Provides pretty good work life balance due to no stressful deadlines. The free good food is nice although should be standard everywhere. Very open ended technical work means lot of room to learn on your own and even be on the cutting edge.
Cons
No push to work can be bad if you’re not self motivated. Office location is not great so finding good place to live nearby is hard but good wfh policy makes up for it somewhat. Employees weren’t made aware much of what’s going on in the company. You could work on something for a few months and it just disappears without you knowing what really happened to the project. No real company culture or sense of belonging to the company. There isn’t any of the fake startup culture BS thankfully. Equity part of compensation was very vague but the good cash component makes up for it.
