Pros

People, work life balance and policy Advice to my other mentally frustrated colleagues just quit while you can

Cons

Good people decent work but it is very very very frustratining when you do not have work every few weeks. Project managers will assign random projects every few weeks promising work and then nothing. If you reach out regarding work, they just say spend time in learn and grow or internal improvement. This is not what I interviewed here for. I am here to build software, the people and teammates are good but lack of work is extremtly frustrating. I am not alone on this there are several people who work on 3-5 projects, with not a lot of work in any of them. Hour logging every month - imagine, you don't have work, you are assigned to multiple projects, you are told to spend your days learning, and you have to log hours for spending time on nothing all day. This is waste of time and talent. Again I am not alone and several people are facing this same situation 2 of all, seating arrangement. We are promised for a few months that we would be given proper seating arrangement in the office. You had to come like a freelancer in an office to look for space, ask "can i sit here". Now, we dont even have an office. The management is very unclear and keeps pushing the wrong deadline, "office will open next month dont worry" every month for 6 months. If you just tell me 6 months months ago that you will not open the office i can search for another job, no need to hang mula in front of me every month. I come here hearing from my network that you will have good people to work with, good culture, etcetera. But being stuck in home is the culture i am getting. They are offering co working location facilities but this is also not right. I moved close to the office location to commute to the office easily but it is not right to tell us to commute to busy areas like gulshan banani dhamondi just for working like remote job. commute is not the problem but when selecting an office you always think about the location of the office the commute in dhaka and everything. This is another mula that they hang in front of you Come here to kill your time and career

Pros

People are mostly friendly and helpful. Team members usually support each other in daily work. Work is okay depending on your team and manager.

Cons

Very limited technical growth. Seniors have experience but many of them are not open to new ideas or suggestions. They prefer doing things the old way and don’t really try new tools or take new challenges. I have bring this up many times with team leaders but there is not much change in this department. Some teams get special treatment. You can see one team going on outings and tours while another team working next to them gets nothing throughout the year. This feels unfair and demotivating. It is good that CEO mentioned during big meetings that everyone should be treated equally but this is a big gap that can be addressed.

Pros

Strativ has some good sides. The work environment is friendly, and people are generally helpful and easy to work with. There is a good focus on work-life balance, which many employees appreciate. The company culture somestimes feels too relaxed, and colleagues support each other when needed.

Cons

However, there are also some important areas that need improvement. One major issue is the lack of strong technical leadership. There is no clear technical direction, and this makes it difficult for teams to grow in a structured way. There is also a clear lack of a strong technical CTO, and this becomes very visible in day-to-day work. Without a technical leader at the top, there is no clear long-term vision for engineering. Different teams often move in different directions, and there is no common standard for how work should be done. Because of this team leads tend to focus only on their own projects instead of building a shared technical culture. There is little coordination between teams, and important decisions are not guided by a bigger technical strategy. This also affects learning, because there are no structured initiatives like training, knowledge sharing, or technical roadmaps. This gap is especially noticeable when comparing with companies that have strong technical leadership. In those cases, there is clear direction, better planning, and more focus on growth. At Strativ, the absence of this role makes it harder to introduce new ideas, improve systems, or create meaningful technical challenges for engineers in the age of AI. Job security is also a concern. Because project flow is not stable many employees feel uncertain about their future in the company. This can create stress and make it harder to plan long term.
