SCG was my first professional experience in Finland. As an international student, it was gave me the ideal start I was looking for. The projects are interesting and you get to actually create an impact on the client's company. You usually work with mid level to top management executives, which is an ideal platform to hone your communication, presentation and responding skills (during Q&A). I also learnt to manage my time better, as I was working on the project and doing a lot of courses at the university. You are expected to take responsibility and actively contribute in the project, which was valuable and gave me a sense of ownership. Lastly, I also got to know to some really amazing and inspiring people through the LEAP program.

I wouldn't call it a con, but something to be aware of. Pressure can be quite high at times, because you are required to produce the deliverable that you promised the client. I believe this only made me stronger mentally. Also it is not your ideal "corporate internship" - you are working in a young company with fellow students and solving an important problem for the client, so be prepared to be on a bumpy but fun ride.
