Strategic Project Partners Response

I am sorry to hear you found your work-life balance at SPP to be absent. It is something we seek to avoid so clearly in this case we have failed. We do try to schedule people on work in a way that is reasonable, including rostering business development and avoiding any concept of "magic time". Strategic (creative, open ended) consulting can be very demanding - it does require a different level of daily intensity to other forms of consulting. At the same time we do need to do better in this regard. With regard to Managers and Partners expecting people to "figure it out" - again, we do try to provide a reasonable amount (above industry benchmark" of Partner time on projects. We do also seek to outline any study we are undertaking to help clarify the project and the analytical task for the team. There will always be a degree of self-managed research on any project. But we can always do better.
