Pros
One of the best things about this office is the internal communication. It's a small company, so everyone is very friendly with one another. There honestly aren't any petty issues between colleagues. It is the first place I've ever worked where everyone genuinely gets along.
Management (Chuck) is great! He's reasonable, accommodating, and professional. He has a good sense of humor and cultivates a great working environment for his team.
When you start as an intern, you learn all about how to write for SEO and get to actually do it. You get to see your work published on clients' websites and blog sites. You're not just doing busy work. If you are an intern that shows promise, sometimes you will get extra assignments to write press releases or create social media pages. This is rarer, as someone handles these tasks separately, but the opportunities are there.
Interns that show promise and show that they can contribute a valuable skill set to the organization get hired.
As an employee, I've been able to see the fruits of my labor in our clients' success, which is the whole point, right?
Cons
The pay isn't competitive. I can't deny that. But the job is great and the team members are fantastic, which makes a huge difference!
