Pros

The culture here is that of a hard-working, client-oriented company. Flexible working environment and a coworkers that truly care about one another and their lives outside of work.

Cons

There seems to be some resistance to change (in terms of tech, innovation, structure, etc..) and some old-fashioned values (I'm thinking of a few specific people so that's not necessarily engrained in the culture). I think any company has this though. Most of the leaders here are middle-aged white men, which is not inherently bad, but we must ask ourselves, why is that? We have yet to transition from small/mid size, Midwest company to becoming a world-class design firm, but that can and will take years. I think despite all this, that Strang is headed in the right direction.

Pros

The employees are the best.

Cons

Not a design firm they claim to be or want to be. Very old school thinking and leadership mentality, Afraid of change and innovation. If it is not within the Strang "standard" it will be brought into question and revised. Claim to be transparent and family oriented, yet consistent blind layoffs. I've seen many come and let go. Does not matter your title or position and seniority. Only people safe here are the board members. Be prepare to be blind sided. How many more layoffs can they handle. It's time to start cutting costs and not employees and stop asking employees to purchase shares of a worthless company.
