Stormtec Filtration Response
1yThank you for sharing your feedback! We take the decision to scale back staffing very seriously and only when deemed absolutely necessary and never lightly. Why would we ever go to the effort of hiring, training and developing a new employee only to let them go at the first bump in the road? Our goal is to continue to grow as we have been over the past 8 years. We have tripled in size over that time and created s lot of new, permanent positions as a result. We have profit sharing for all staff and have recently launched a program for employee ownership. Unfortunately, we sometimes end up with a sustained imbalance between staffing and revenue in a particular area that we just cannot correct quickly enough. Having more staff than there is work to keep staff busy is not good for anyone, including the people who unfortunately get let go. We operate in a dynamic industry with work that can scale up and down very quickly. I accept that this still stinks if one is one of the people scaled back, but it is only done with very careful consideration of all the alternatives. . If you would be open to sharing more details or discuss your experience further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself, the People & Culture Manager, at 604-523-6608.
