Reasons I love my job: 1) Respectful, caring coworkers who are fun to be around and obviously love what they do. 2) A company who has a culture which is not just words in a handbook - they genuinely live up to their own standards, and rightfully expect the same of their employees. 3) Work-life balance is strongly encouraged. If you're scheduled to leave at a certain time, you can do so and not feel like you won't be respected. This is at the top of my list of non-negotiables - being able to have a life outside of work is essential to self-care and a healthy family life. You'll find that here. 4) A welcoming, progressive environment for any and all. It's also a very multicultural company. 5) The company founders are all very kind. They have expectations that you're very much expected to live up to, yet they also know the importance of creating a fun, laid-back work atmosphere. If you provide employees with a positive workplace, excellent benefits, a healthy wage, work-life balance, and a healthy amount of autonomy (all provided at StoragePug) - the result is employees who are inspired to work hard, show up, support the team and help the company grow. If the above things DON'T inspire that in someone - then it's a result of the company not being a right fit for them as an individual, not a fault of the company. I've held many, many jobs during my lifetime, but this is the first job where I've felt genuinely appreciated for the work that I put in, and most importantly, I don't dread going to work every day.
