Cons
The company still uses a benefits company from Iowa to supply its health insurance. The pool includes mainly grain company employees, so insurance rates are fairly high. FCStone has also recently dropped its pension plan for employees. Finally, its 401k match is paid in a one time lump sum in company stock. Usually they pick the day to distribute to employees in which the price is the highest, thereby reducing the number of shares the company has to pay out.
