Pros

Great Hardware, Office, Modern FOSS shop with extremely knowledgeable teams with the highest technical standards.

Cons

Unprofessional Atmosphere - CTO called me names like 'cabana boy' and 'Gomez Adams'. people drink in their offices, etc. Promises were made that weren't kept - remote work, basic office supplies like a telephone. Questionable employment practices - When I negotiated my compensation, I was promised a salary position with health care / 401k after 90 days. And in consideration of such, I asked for less money. About 90ish days in, I was laid off without any warning and was told that it had been the 'planned for some time'. I'd argue that they had planned it all along as some disgusting cost cut strategy. Terrible communication between tech departments and teams - assigned a ETL tasks for a 3rd party API, not given any documentation / auth creds to do so, management disappearing for days at a time without communication, some teammates refused to collaborate on projects, others refused to help other departments (firewall request taking 20+ days to complete)

Pros

Great company culture, works hard to make progressive and beneficial decisions. Doesn't tend to allow corporate bureaucracy to impede growth. I felt respected and appreciated. Salary was slightly above average, benefits are great.

Cons

Organizational instability (somewhat due to the lack of corporate bureaucracy slowing down major changes like re-orgs), going through a period of downsizing in order to put more focus on a specific division. Tend to switch gears on major initiatives before seeing them to fruition, this can be good and bad. Causes a lot of upheaval that takes time to recover from but it's also good to know when to cut your losses on some things. They have had, in the past, some resource distribution issues that caused focus in the wrong areas leading to production slowness and missed development deadlines. However, the recent shift in focus should alleviate a lot of that.
