Pros

Culture is “decent”. My peers were amazing. Training was fun.

Cons

All they care about is metrics and being efficient. This isn’t a people first company anymore. The bottom line is god. They are selling clients on the idea of having a personal stylist but give no time to stylist to actually do their job and the inventory has been out of season for ages. They are also moving to what seems like a fully automated styling system where people are styled by an algorithm and not by a person. Some managers are great but others micromanage like crazy. The good ones don’t seem to be happy there which should tell you something. It’s hard to connect with managers because most one on ones with them they are writing notes about you that they then pass along to their superior. I wouldn’t trust any of them or tell them anything personal. It will get passed along. “It’s their job”. By the time I left most of my peers from my training team had also left. They were too stressed out by the job and finally saw it for what it was. I can’t emphasize how unhappy everyone I spoke to was. It made me sad. Rumors regularly went around about how top performers were using ADHD meds and other forms of stimulants to meet metric demands. I heard this so often it was demotivating to think that meeting goals took those sorts of measures to obtain. At the end of the day they will make training super fun and will give you credits for food deliveries and all sorts of things to get you hooked on the company. Once you start your actual job though it’s a completely different vibe.

Pros

The people you actually work with are actually fantastic humans and brilliant engineers. They're eager to learn, collaborate, and help no matter what level they are or team they're on. You can make real friends here.

Cons

Unfortunately, the business just hasn't been as stable as it used to be. Leadership is always changing something and there isn't as much transparency about those decisions as there once was.

Pros

• I work with genuinely kind, supportive people who are always willing to jump in and help or give feedback to help me grow. • I've had the opportunity to partner with a variety of teams and build meaningful relationships across the business even from a remote setting. • Flexible work environment that allowed for a healthy work-life balance. • I've always felt trusted to manage my workload and bring new ideas to recruiting processes. • Mission-driven culture with employees who truly cared about helping clients feel confident in their personal style. • Great place to develop recruiting skills while working alongside talented and thoughtful teammates.

Cons

• Stakeholder alignment could take time when multiple teams were involved in hiring decisions. • I honestly don't have many cons to share. I can genuinely see myself working at Stitch Fix for many years to come. It's a company that truly values its people, and I'm proud to say I work here when people ask. The culture, mission, and people make it a place where I feel supported, challenged, and excited to contribute every day.
