Pros

Pay was good for a fun side hustle, really liked my team lead, and styling was fun, good company discount

Cons

The main selling point of this job was the flexibility - I was hired to work 15 hours and was told I could work those hours pretty much any time. With another FT job this was a great side gig. Now, the recent changes are no different to working a retail job in person, in fact, a retail job in-person would be better because the scheduling would be more predictable. With the new changes you are required to make yourself available for 20 hours/week during a limited time frame and set that schedule 2 weeks in advance, then 2 days before each week they tell you how many hours you're actually needed for. This week was about 8 hrs, the week before was 5 hrs. With other responsibilities, it's just not feasible. Also, it's a bit shocking that the severance was capped, forcing stylists to rush to make a decision whether or not to resign lest they lose out on severance...bizarre, and certainly not good practice. Perhaps more shocking is they have yet to release the new handbook, attendance policy, and any legal documents related to the changes. The deadline to resign and potentially be eligible for severance is 2 days before they plan to release the policy updates. Asking people to resign before having an opportunity to review the legal documents is poor business, sketchy, and irresponsible. When this was brought up at a post-announcement meeting, the response was "I know it's not ideal, it's still with legal..."

Pros

• I work with genuinely kind, supportive people who are always willing to jump in and help or give feedback to help me grow. • I've had the opportunity to partner with a variety of teams and build meaningful relationships across the business even from a remote setting. • Flexible work environment that allowed for a healthy work-life balance. • I've always felt trusted to manage my workload and bring new ideas to recruiting processes. • Mission-driven culture with employees who truly cared about helping clients feel confident in their personal style. • Great place to develop recruiting skills while working alongside talented and thoughtful teammates.

Cons

• Stakeholder alignment could take time when multiple teams were involved in hiring decisions. • I honestly don't have many cons to share. I can genuinely see myself working at Stitch Fix for many years to come. It's a company that truly values its people, and I'm proud to say I work here when people ask. The culture, mission, and people make it a place where I feel supported, challenged, and excited to contribute every day.
