Pros
There are incredible snacks and drinks and the office in Austin Texas looks like a place that you would enjoy working at.
Cons
They preach a gospel of “Live your best life.” But I saw countless incredibly talented colleagues treated as numbers on an excel spreadsheet and subjugated to warnings over ticket solves that had been proven inaccurate time and time again. No merit based raises, and if the market rate for pay goes down, you’ll be brought into a meeting to be told that you’re lucky to be paid what you are, and to not tell new hires that their pay will actually be about 25 cents less. Actually, a lot of one-on-one meetings ended with “And don’t tell your coworkers, they might have heard something different and we don’t want to hurt them.” - I guess that is what they refer to as “open door policy.” I guess what is most disappointing is the toxic nature of management. They aren’t actually trained to be leaders, which is why we would generally get speeches and advice that had nothing to do with the job (Or 8 hour mandatory trainings about communication). But if you don’t take said advice, you’ll be reprimanded. Or, if you’re too good at your job, you’ll never be promoted “Because you don’t know what it’s like to handle adversity.”
