Pros

Clinicians really care about the consumers; great benefit package including 4.5 weeks of paid leave in addition to PTO time; beautiful setting; management worked hard to show appreciation to staff.

Cons

Difficult to hire clinicians at the starting rate of pay and due to limited funding for some of the consumers, clinicians often felt the agency was under-staffed. Other than management, staff did not really understand the funding and the difficulty in running a non-profit center. Management often worked long hours and weekends.

Pros

-Plenty of time off- 6 scheduled breaks, 1 week of PTO -Many hardworking and committed staff -Proactive approach to the changing behavioral health needs of the community; technological and real-world

Cons

-Terrible health insurance with "catastrophic" deductibles. HRA is provided, but is very minimal. -People are placed in positions that they adequately cannot perform- this causes the agency to suffer repeatedly as the mistakes are continuously caused by the same people. -Hinging off the above statement, the morale is extremely low currently because people are not held accountable for their actions. Direct Care staff are able to see their peers and superiors not being held accountable, causing frustration. -Staff are consistently telling upper management that they feel unheard and unappreciated; somehow this equals being ungrateful for time off in the minds of upper management. This is incredibly false. The opinion of staff are no longer valued. -Continuous mistakes are brought to the attention of upper management, mistakes that are detrimental in fixing, and are never fixed until it is too late. -The motto there is if you don't like something, wait and it will change; change is constant. However true this may seem, it's also untrue. The same mistakes, same problems, repeatedly.
