Pros

FCA used to be a really great company to work for. Good work life balance, challenging, career growth opportunities, decent enough pay.

Cons

Carlos Tavares is destroying this company. He is hell bent on ruining North American operations, getting rid of all US based engineers, and outsourcing them all to cheap contracts in Mexico to prop up the stock price (which is still crashing). We have been on a hiring freeze in the US for 4 years, and have only added employees on 1 year contracts, mostly in Mexico. Layoffs in March, buyouts twice a year. We have half the employees we did in 2019. Our quality is horrible, everybody is massively overworked hanging on to their jobs, begging Carlos not to fire them next. Morale has never been lower since I've been here and the environment is the most toxic I've ever experienced. Everybody is trying to leave as fast as possible.

Pros

This is a company where you can learn a lot if you are willing to take initiative. There are many talented people you can connect with who are willing to help you improve and do your job better. I also believe there is a real opportunity to regain stability and grow professionally.

Cons

There are still some organizational challenges, including unclear ownership in certain areas and a high level of uncertainty. The onboarding process could also be improved, as it mainly focuses on general company benefits and HR information, rather than providing role-specific training or guidance for the actual job responsibilities.
