Pros

Benefits are great. People on the floor are great once you’ve gained their respect. Bonuses have been really good.

Cons

Many people have quit or retired and the company isn’t replacing them. Whether they’re non union or union. This will cause upper management to give you more work without any additional compensation. Pay raises are an absolute joke. Salaries are low as it is. Upper management is reactive, not proactive. They wait until equipment fails and shuts down assembly to do any maintenance or upgrades. The higher level you go, the less intelligent they are. Worry about keeping the people you have left. It’s too late for me. Once that bonus check clears, I’m out. If we even get one since union contract is being negotiated right now. Regardless if I get a bonus or not, I’m out.

Pros

This is a company where you can learn a lot if you are willing to take initiative. There are many talented people you can connect with who are willing to help you improve and do your job better. I also believe there is a real opportunity to regain stability and grow professionally.

Cons

There are still some organizational challenges, including unclear ownership in certain areas and a high level of uncertainty. The onboarding process could also be improved, as it mainly focuses on general company benefits and HR information, rather than providing role-specific training or guidance for the actual job responsibilities.
