Pros

Absolutely nothing to say here.

Cons

Everything. Parts of the contract are exploitative, some are openly unenforceable. It demands you ignore statutory law in several parts. For example, the contract forbids you from entering any agreement with creditors - eg refinancing your car or remortgaging your house. It also ignores the Rights of Third Parties Act and clearly tries to exempt them from accusations of misrepresentation (which is a criminal matter). When asked, they said they were happy with the contract and weren't prepared to amend it. What kind of lawyer would write a contract like that? One that should be disbarred. The hours and expectations make clear they don't want you to have a work-life balance. As for the company and leadership, I agreed my start date but they refused to provide even basic equipment like a laptop (to work remotely). The CFO emailed me on a Sunday afternoon, a week before I was due to start, to confirm I was starting the next day (ie a week early) despite their having made no effort to provide the basic necessities for the role. They deliberately waited until I'd given notice on my previous job, then emailed to rescind the offer 3 days before I was due to start - because I had the audacity to ask for basic needs. Despite everything, they were still advertising two roles on LinkedIn. I have worked for people that I consider to be visionary. Brilliant. Leaders both of companies and people. I have worked for people that I openly aspire to be like and I can name 10 of them in 5 seconds. Steadypay's leadership are perfect examples of the opposite. Avoid at all costs.
