Pros
There are some good people working here, but unfortunately none of them have enough power to turn the tides of what has been an absolute bloodbath of product pivots, layoffs, and furloughs over the past several years.
Cons
The company presents itself as mission-driven, but in practice, decisions consistently prioritize profit and investor interests over employee well-being. Leadership is opaque — most staff rarely see or hear from the actual CEO, and communication is limited.
Transparency into business decisions and financial health is virtually nonexistent. After several rounds of layoffs and furloughs in recent years, staff are left anxious and in the dark. Rather than building trust, leadership withholds information, which fuels uncertainty.
Career growth is almost impossible. There’s no performance review or raise structure, no bonuses, and only rare cost-of-living adjustments. Promotions often come without pay increases, which feels more like a way to extract extra work than to support development.
If you’re interviewing here, I’d recommend asking to speak with employees (outside of leadership) who’ve been at the company for over a year. Their experiences will give you a more realistic picture than the hiring pitch.
