Pros

I appreciated the relaxed work as an Engineer, although I would say I was on a team that I was not engineering a ton.

Cons

Poor management, poor onboarding. I had a manager scold me on a Zoom call with other members of the dev team present on that call. I felt he could’ve done it privately and embarrass me like that, throwing a temper tantrum is never a good look for a manager. The same manager would also talk about other people’s performance on our one on one meeting, as if it’s any of my business to know how someone else on my team is performing. If you want to do meaningful engineering work, go somewhere else. I hardly implemented anything! I was literally wasting my time doing mundane operations that were mostly copy and paste. I don’t know how you see the growth in copying and pasting but that salary high wore off as I seen where this type of work could lead me nowhere useful for a job switch or interview.

Pros

Own book runner and strategy. Good work life balance. Good working environment and nice people to work together

Cons

No much growth. Promotion to VP or higher is even forbidden based on company policy. Instead, ask people to move to different role. It doesn't make a lot of sense since it encourage people to find a new job.

Pros

The company has a great severence package. Unfortunately thats a pro because they are laying off workers every 3 months until most of operations are offshore. Decent 401k match and vacation.

Cons

Layoffs, pay is low. Return to office mandate.
