Pros
Great benefit packages, PTO, most positions get bonuses
Cons
Company has shipped the majority of positions to lower cost locations. There is little career growth opportunities, as they got rid of inline promotions, and because of the off shoring of positions, the US career mrkt. is not is stagnant. Plus there are monthly layoffs, disguised as restructuring. Bonuses have been on a steady decline over the past 10 years and merit increases have been all but impossible to obtain, as they set the threshold at less than 5% of the company can get them. Due to staffing reductions before adequate plans for the work are made, almost every dept is grossly understaffed and over worked. So the work life balance is non existent. This company thrives on being reactive instead of proactive, leaving staff to be in constant fire drill mode.
