Entry level sales and customer service - Agent Team Member State Farm Agency Employee Review

Pros

A stable position for growth if you are starting out newly licensed in insurance. You would be expected to service most policies for existing clients depending on the agent's office protocol and the size of the team vs the size of the book of business.

Cons

Smaller teams vs larger book of business are expected to hold dual roles in sales and service and multitask constantly. The company uses over 7 different platforms for various types of quotes not including the sister companies - those are separate and you will be trained in all of them. The system crashes OFTEN. We have to wait or reboot almost 3 times a month

Pros

Some Agents really care about their team members. Some Agents offer a healthier work-life balance. Some Agents foster a healthy work environment. If yours doesn't, look elsewhere! You can do better!

Cons

Most Agents take advantage of capable people new to the industry. Most Agents don't care about their customers or their team members, just their numbers. Most Agents push their problems onto the office/team members. This happens more often than not. Don't work for someone like this. You can do better! (Also, corporate has almost exclusively gone to AI assistants that help with nothing. You will get virtually no help outside of your office so chose wisely.)
