Clean facility, fast service with great patient care! Patients are the top priority. Under new management, Altus Community Healthcare is the largest emergency services provider in Texas, including 27 freestanding emergency rooms and micro-hospitals. With a mission to save lives in emergency situations by providing world-class care from highly trained physicians and staff.

Pros

Most of the patient care staff are fantastic and the teamwork is phenomenal. Starting pay is good for the area.

Cons

Equipment is very outdated. No pharmacy tech. No RT. No rapid response team. Limited medications and supplies. This company was established by a physician and a group of a shareholders who value income more than patient safety. This company presents itself as an emergency center, but does not have the staffing, equipment, or skilled physicians to handle true emergencies. On top of everything else, the owners are much more concerned about the appearance of the facility rather than a practical/ logical ER set up ( Ex : no coats on chairs, no supplies on counters, no wheelchairs or back boards in areas where patients can see them because its an "eye sore". No benefits ( no 401k, HSA, education).
