Pros

I have been honored to work at StartupCraft for 3 years from 2017 until 2020. The company keeps growing. I have attended several workshops that gathered employees to improve the internal processes in the company, through analyzing the past experience and transforming it into improvements. The salary level is always reasonable, depending on your skills, willingness to learn and openness to the feedback from the management. The salary has always been paid in full. In terms of learning, some literature and online courses are recommended on-demand and you can always ask your colleagues for advice. The Team is the diamond of the company. StartupCraft has a strict selection process for highly qualified experts, therefore if you get there, be sure you are among the experts. I highly recommend StartupCraft as a company to work for.

Cons

Sometimes the management can be quite harsh in the way to provide feedback, but it's always clear and reasonable. Small delays of the salary payment happened to me twice in 3 years, when the whole team was not meeting the deadline commitments of the project, which can sometimes happen in other companies as well.

Pros

I could not find any advantages to work with them
.

Cons

First month you will for for free in case if they just don't like you. Moreover, the trial period may be extended without explanation and you can be fined without any reason. A very bad opinion of the CEO remains. There are a lot of things to stop you working here: You must evaluate your tasks (in hours), even if you are only two days on the project. You are not involved in planning at all. That's why they miss all the deadline.

Thanks for the review. Even though I checked with my HR department and we never hired anyone from San Diego, CA, ever. However, we do know some people who failed trial in the first few weeks working in our company and it feels like it's the case. We sign a contract where the work has to be done while passing the trial period, during which we support newcomers as much as we can, dedicating extra resources and time. That also means - we don't pay if there's absolutely zero progress made and we state that clearly on the very first interview plus it's mentioned in any standard contract. What's true about this review - is the fact we expect disciplined work where we indeed ask to evaluate tasks so we can plan accordingly. We don't expect precise estimations during the first few months. We're working on improving processes and we won't allow dishonest people cheating on our company.
