Pros

Self-starters thrive here because the lack of defined processes grants significant autonomy. The work is consistently challenging and can be rewarding. Benefits are decent and actively being improved by senior leadership.

Cons

The "grow by acquisition" mindset has severely strained back-office support, as business processes are often non-existent or undefined during integration. This has led to overworked teams and an expectation to constantly pick up slack. While leadership has restructured to address this, results are slow. Some managers are reluctant to use specialized contractors to ease the burden, insisting internal teams, who cannot possibly be SMEs across dozens of systems, handle everything. Furthermore, while succession planning is discussed, actual internal upward mobility is inconsistent; many departments opt to hire externally for management roles. The cultural side, while charming, contributes to issues where team members overstep boundaries ("wearing too many hats") or circumvent policy with a "just get it done" attitude, which hinders finding sustainable solutions.
