I have one of the best jobs, I get to see all of the generosity of the community. Especially during the Holidays, person after person is willing to give of themselves and of their belongings to help people.

It's one of the worst jobs because unfortunately I do see the needs and troubles of those experiencing homelessness. It does take a toll on you emotionally.

I've been with Star House for some time now, and it's been a truly positive experience. I've felt consistently supported by leadership and empowered to make a real impact. The management team is approachable, communicative, and genuinely invested in the growth of both staff and the organization.

With such a passionate and dedicated team, people often go above and beyond — which can sometimes lead to taking on more than expected. However, the supportive culture helps maintain a healthy balance.
