Pros
I had a great team, and caring managers. I had the autonomy to make decisions. There are pockets of exceptional people.
Cons
New managers are hired/promoted based on BEE status instead of competence, leading to poorly-qualified leadership and demotivated staff. There are too many employees who coast along, adding no value to the organisation. Internal governance creates red-tape that slows down business processes. Performance appraisals are arbitrary, and seldom based on actual delivery.
