Pros

I joined Stackla towards the start of 2015 so have been here over a year and a half. The team is a group of likeminded, talented and ambitious people from a number of different backgrounds. It's very much a learning environment stemming from the top. We have digital marketers, producers, sales guys, sports writers so its a really dynamic environment. It's also an exciting place to work both as a company and industry vertical. Stackla is the best in breed UGC technology so you get to work with fantastic companies in really creative ways. The team is maturing and there are opportunities not only to move up within one area of the company but also across into separate departments. This is becoming more and more common with changes in the shape of the company. What you start out doing may not be what you end up in.

Cons

Sometimes things can move slowly, sometimes they're lightning fast. It's the nature of a startup but something to bear in mind when coming into the company.

Pros

The people and culture here is amazing. I love that I can be myself and not worry about politics and feel appreciated for the work and energy I put in. Everyone is very supportive and pushes each other to do the best. The product is constantly evolving to prove value in the market. The team works very hard we're a start up but Work/life balance is expected and everyday we are learning together and it really has that tight knit family feel. Stackla probably is my favorite job thus far. A lot of people boast about culture and transparency at their company but very few actually live up to it. The vetting process for culture fit here is very strong, they want to make sure everyone is a good fit, no jerks here! Honestly if you can laugh, goof around and be yourself at a job while learning and being challenged and inspired everyday, what more can you ask for?

Cons

Communications throughout the team can be difficult due to different time zones and no conference app is perfect. It's a start up so there is a lot of scaling and pivoting. But if you can't handle the pressure and hard work that comes along, maybe start ups isn't for you. People come in early and stay late because there is A LOT of work to do
