Pros
St. Luke's is a major employer for the state of Idaho if you really need a job. It's relatively secure if you have no plans for growth. There are always job openings.
Cons
St. Luke's HR rules and regulations are contradicting. For example, if you are ill and contagious then you are REQUIRED to stay home however, you will still get marked for an unexcused absence. You can only get 6 unexcused absences in a rolling calendar year without getting a written warning. If you must leave work for any reason, that is unexpected, it will count as a full unexcused day or a half unexcused day no matter the circumstance. If you get 9 unexcused occurrences in a rolling calendar year, you will get fired. HR works for the organization not for the employees. The organization does not care about it's employees in the same manner that they require their employees to care for patients. The organization only cares about making money. They have laid off hundreds of loyal employees and will lay off more due to their expensive expansions. They have also limited supply budgets, are not giving promotions, and are overworking employees to burnout or resignation. Turnover is very high. Management works for the organization and not for the employees. Management is not to be trusted.
