Smart, close-knit team that cares about you - Digital Marketing Manager SquareGPS Employee Review

I worked for SquareGPS for a year on their US Design Team as Digital Marketing Manager. Great company. This was my first experience in a fully remote role and at a global company. I can’t speak highly enough about the people here. The company has a small, dispersed, strong team and they care about you as an employee. You are constantly invited to virtual team building events, some just to laugh and relax, and often asked to take surveys and share your likes and dislikes, meaning you do have a voice and HR will actually act on what you say. Consistent monthly meetings have been established so you know what's going on and what other teams and locations are working on. Very helpful when you are remote and global. You are also frequently offered the opportunity to travel. I’ve already been to Chicago and Denver to meet other US employees. The products are smart, user-friendly and growing at an insane pace. If you want to learn and have a close, tight unit and global team that cares about staying connected and keeping you happy, you would enjoy this team. They also have Teamflow which is a virtual office, making ‘stopping by and chatting’ with colleagues casual and easy. In a remote and Zoom world, things can get lonely but not here. The HR team offers consistent ‘wellness’ type meetings, from mental health to financial health topics. The developers and tech support folks will teach you and train you if you ask. Sales and marketing teams are growing quickly and work hard to stay connected. Presence of the CEO is incredible and unheard of. He is constantly available and works side by side with every team. Reviews are frequent so you always know your expectations and how your manager feels. And everyone, no matter the time zone, will get back to you when you need something STAT. Really can't speak highly enough of the people. Awesome experience and nothing like other corporate companies where you are just another body with no voice. This is a place where you can come up with ideas and act on them, share them, etc. Thanks to everyone at the company who made me feel like a team member.
