Pros
I've been here for just under a year and leadership has put together an excellent group of people. In my experience this is the number one factor in job satisfaction (or lack thereof). Work can be fun with the right group of people. - The team is the best! Not just smart but knowledgeable from the top down. Collaboration is key and everybody is open & receptive and know how to get a job done right. - The culture! Collaborative workspace with privacy available. Telecommuting. On-site cafe. Regular fun team meetups. Culture is king. - The benefits! The usual stuff plus great family leave, unlimited vaca, learning opportunities, 30 day sabbatical after 5 years. You can't beat it. - Focus on creating room for advancement. This is one of the best things I think. Offering learning opportunities combined with a desire to see employees succeed and advance. - Inbound marketing is one of the hottest fields right now and the future is bright here. - Accessible management team. This is one of my key decision factors when vetting an employer and the leadership team does it right.
Cons
- Surplus of meetings hinder productivity. I'm sure this is related to remote team members in different time zones and is a necessary evil. Sometimes I miss poking my head into another office to ask a question instead of scheduling another meeting - Pace can be hectic for somebody new to marketing. Marketers are used to it...that's why we play hard too.
