It’s not really a startup atmosphere anymore; it works like a corporation - upper management will make decisions and would often not consult the team. I wasn’t told about certain things on purpose, and sure you can do that, but at least admit support matters very much by paying more then, because the issue with the product is it’s barely customizable on the user’s end, so everything runs through support.
I also see very little upward mobility from this position in particular, which also contributes to the corporate atmosphere.
