Pros

Amazing, kind, hard working people

Cons

Upper management is almost never around. They collect large paychecks and put in little work to earn them. In fact, they stated in meeting “just because they make more money, doesn’t mean they should work harder”, yet they preach a different story to production workers. Nepotism throughout the entire upper management team as it is all family or married in. They are unprofessional, rude, non-attentive, and discriminatory. Getting raises here is a fight. Upper management will not listen to complaints without an uproar. The retention rate is so low that there was a walk out 2 years ago and only 1 person remains from 2 years ago. A manager before myself was fired on the basis of sexual harrassment. You work most holidays and the ones you don’t, you don’t get paid for. Hours vary drastically day to day with some positions working 50-60 hours a week while other only 30. Growers as expected to work more hours than anyone and get paid low wages to do so. Their hourly rate breaks down to $20/hr which other employees make working 40 hour work weeks. I do not recommend supporting this family or companies. You as an employee will not be supported, in fact, you will always be asked to pull more weight with nothing to show in return. This business is only still in operation due to government money that upper management uses to give themselves raises with and keep production team members/greenhouse workers at the same wage. Sales is a nightmare to work with as the the head sales woman is catty and changes her mind on a daily basis never recalling what was said the day before that she directed others to do. The general manager is clueless in managing people and how to do the many jobs below him always relying on others to do his job for him. This often leaves the team high and dry on low inventory items, sometimes taking months to reorder though asked several times. In my opinion, upper management is not fit to run this business and it should be sold to people who know how to work, manage, sell, and operate. This company has loads of potential but the team is not fit to achieve it if they cannot humble themselves and be a part of the working production team bringing in the money to accomplish it. And for the record, I would love to see Springworks flourish but the way it is run right now it is far out of reach.
