Pros
The best part about the acute care setting is seeing and feeling that you are making a difference. You actually get to witness your patients get better. I would also have to commend the comradery compared to other places. The majority of the nurses there get along well and work together.
Cons
The pay isn't worth the work, you're constantly working short handed. The lack of knowledge about the scope of practice of what you can and cannot do. Started as a care tech transitioned to nurse, the tech side was easier for sure.
