Pros

Very good work atmosphere, friendly colleagues, and supportive CEO Hybrid work style with lots of freedom I worked for a couple of recruitment firms before SPOTTED, but this is the best commission scheme I have ever had. There is no draw system; you basically get paid a commission for every single deal you close. Spotted is the best company I have worked for so far. I like the people and enjoy coming to the office. I also appreciate the flexibility they provide me to focus on generating revenue rather than hitting KPIs that have no real connection with billing. CEO is very hands-on and has lots of experience. I was surprised by the huge portfolio of clients, including Japanese Tech Startups and global Tech companies, as well as clients from different industries such as VC, and Retail. You will definitely have more than enough roles to work on at all times here.

Cons

As someone pointed out, we tend to keep low performers for too long. However, I agree that it`s challenging to find the right balance between a good personality and a strong sales mindset; I feel that management prioritizes hiring people with good personalities, but these people often prove to be weak salespeople.

Pros

The commission structure is good

Cons

The CEO is heavily involved in day-to-day operations and tends to micromanage extensively. Decision-making can feel unpredictable, and constructive criticism is often not well received. There are also instances of racist or insensitive jokes being made in the workplace, which are frequently encouraged by a small group of loyal employees. This creates an uncomfortable environment for others. The organization lacks a clear operational structure and consistent company culture, despite frequent discussions about culture and values from management. Additionally, there is no proper employee training system in place, making it difficult for new hires to adapt and grow within the company. Overall, the employee turnover rate is very high, which reflects the ongoing organizational and management challenges.

Pros

Some capable and ambitious colleagues (many of whom have since left)

Cons

Leadership behavior under pressure felt unpredictable and reactive, which made the environment stressful and difficult to navigate. The company heavily emphasizes motivational language, but in day-to-day situations those values did not feel consistently reflected in leadership actions. Very low base salary combined with aggressive KPIs created constant financial pressure, framed internally as “growth” or “hustle.” Feedback was frequently encouraged, but expressing disagreement or alternative views often felt risky. Professional boundaries were sometimes unclear, with comments or interactions that felt unnecessarily personal rather than work-focused. Over time, the culture felt increasingly centered on agreement rather than open discussion.
