Pros

You’ll learn how much chaos you can tolerate before you quit.

Cons

Zero training. You’re just thrown in and told to figure it out while management hides in the back. The bonus system is rigged. If you don’t hit every single requirement, you get nothing. Most stylists never see a dime, and that’s by design. Scheduling is a joke. Everyone else is on every-other-weekend, except you if they feel like burning you out. Half the staff is scheduled on peak days while the other half gets an easy ride. No one works their full shift. People stroll in late, leave early, and management sets the tone by doing the same. If you dare to speak up, you’ll get told your “standards are too high” or that you “worry about silly things.” Translation: don’t expect improvement, just shut up and deal with it. The environment is loud, overstimulating, and flat-out anxiety-inducing. Door beeps, blow dryers, TVs blaring, people yelling, and constant interruptions during client services. It’s exhausting. You basically have to beg to be paid correctly—whether it’s mileage reimbursement, meetings, or subbing at other stores. If you don’t ask, you don’t get paid. Period. Everyone working here survives off a spouse, disability, or splitting bills with roommates. Nobody can afford to live on this job alone. That says everything.

Pros

Pay, schedule flexibility, growth opportunities, company events, benefits

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Pros

Flexible schedule and decent pay.

Cons

Team leader claimed to care about his team, but only cared about a few! Team leader cared more about employees, causing problems than the employees doing their job! Team leader got teary-eyed when an employee needed to be let go for being aggressive with another stylist! Team leader refused to pay out vacation time to an employee who quit, stating that it wasn’t policy and had never done before, employee who quit showed proof that it had been done before and team leader still refused to pay out vacation. Very few policy and procedures are followed per Sport Clips handbook, 100% would not recommend working for Sport Clips, especially at this location. Well hourly pay is decent, bonus on any level is nearly impossible, especially as a manager! As a stylist, you have to hit all three metrics to bonus at all, and as a manager, you yourself have to hit all the metrics, and you have to have at least one stylist who hits their metrics as well.
