You do way more than just check people in and answer the phone. - Receptionist Sport Clips Employee Review

Pros

You get commission on products you sell. Always need receptionist because the turnover rate is so high.

Cons

My store only had 2 employees working as a receptionist so you work a lot of hours. Customers were all male and sometimes rude. Hardly ever tip. Your job includes: answer phone, check people in, handle cash register, clean all the supplies, do the laundry, make "packs" for everyone through out the shift, sweep between each haircut, and mop. Plus closing at night by yourself. Money stealing by hair cutters because anyone could use the drawer.

Pros

Pay, schedule flexibility, growth opportunities, company events, benefits

Cons

The pay is excellent as long as you’re performance is strong and especially if your flexible with your schedule and full time. But if you’re not a good performer or super part time, this might not be the best place for you.

Pros

Flexible schedule and decent pay.

Cons

Team leader claimed to care about his team, but only cared about a few! Team leader cared more about employees, causing problems than the employees doing their job! Team leader got teary-eyed when an employee needed to be let go for being aggressive with another stylist! Team leader refused to pay out vacation time to an employee who quit, stating that it wasn’t policy and had never done before, employee who quit showed proof that it had been done before and team leader still refused to pay out vacation. Very few policy and procedures are followed per Sport Clips handbook, 100% would not recommend working for Sport Clips, especially at this location. Well hourly pay is decent, bonus on any level is nearly impossible, especially as a manager! As a stylist, you have to hit all three metrics to bonus at all, and as a manager, you yourself have to hit all the metrics, and you have to have at least one stylist who hits their metrics as well.
