Pros

- Company culture: inviting, inclusive, friendly - you actually want to hang out with your coworkers outside of work! - Technology: innovative, exciting - this is the contact center world so there isn't too much innovation going on, but Spoken manages to excite you about it regardless. - Benefits are great (unlimited PTO, work from home options, standing desks, snacks/coffee, open floor plan!) - The people: There are a lot of smart people who work here, some who are considered experts in their fields. There is always something new to learn from a co-worker.

Cons

- Lack of ownership - Lack of growth opportunity - No structured training (mostly on the job with a 2-3 month ramp up) *however, they are working on rectifying this and adding more training options (online, self paced, seminars etc.) - Must be workaholic/junkie (if you can't hack longer hours every now and then or doing what needs to get done, you won't last long) - Don't expect a raise, ever. Also, be prepared to be turned down multiple times.

Thank for the honest review. As part of the ongoing culture enhancement these “Cons” are being addressed. Look for future communications regarding next steps or unveiled programs. We've created a Culture Club to help enhance the employee experience and a monthly/quarterly calendar for events to include “all staff” and more training.

Pros

Spoken Communications has made some large changes in 2016. They have obtained a new CEO that has given the company a clear and concise direction to head in. They have restructured some positions that allows them to better meet their goals and have a higher success rate with their projects and tasks. The company still has some of that small business feel and you get to know your peers fairly well. The benefits are quite good and the pay is on par with other fields in the area. I would recommend this company to a friend and am happy to call myself a Spoken Communications employee. I understand that there are some challenges ahead and look forward to helping mold the company as they continue to grow.

Cons

As with any smaller company working to get into a mid-size business level there are some growing pains. It takes time and effort on all individuals and levels to work as one group to move in the right direction. Some other employees don't fully understand that and they tend to not want to go along with the changes.
