Pros

I wish there was a redeeming quality about this company but there actually isn't.

Cons

Buckle up because this is going to be a long one. BEWARE!!! If you're interested in applying for this company, DON'T!! If you like working overtime without pay, if you like deductions on your agreed upon salary for something that is not your fault, if you like to be blamed for something that isn't your fault, then by all means go ahead. Take your chance. First, I'd like to say that this company has so much potential. But this potential is wasted, truly wasted because of the CEO. Never in my entire career have I encountered someone who frequently blame you for fault that is not your own. This CEO doesn't know how to listen. He likes the sound of his own voice and the echoes of his own thoughts way too much for him to listen to the people who help him run his company. He doesn't know how to consider other people's input even if he is the one asking for help. Also, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to deduct an amount from your agreed salary (the salary indicated in your contract that you both signed) for no reason at all. Just because he feels that the people should feel the "pain" of the negative reviews that his company is getting. Speaking of reviews, did you know that he fakes those positive reviews in Shopify? Yes sir he does! For the negative reviews that the app is getting, it's his people who are suffering. For every negative review, he deducts a monetary amount to people's salary up to a point that we barely get anything by the end of the month. His attitude towards his people is disgusting. He treats them almost like slaves. To a point that nobody gets a break, everybody is burnt out and at their wits ends. If you're still here, leave. If you're planning to join, save yourself and most importantly your sanity. Working for this person is not worth it and will definitely be the worst decision of your life.

Pros

none, don't work here, worse, worst

Cons

As a former Customer Support (CS) team member, Spocket is the only company I’ve worked for that financially penalizes employees, often without clear rules or consistency. Penalties can range from $200–$800 CAD, even if you’re meeting KPIs and handling heavy ticket volumes. In CS, context, workload, and past performance are ignored. The culture is extremely money-driven and fear-based. A single delayed response to leadership can result in immediate punishment. These penalties feel less like behavior correction and more like a way to save the company money. The CS team environment is especially toxic. There is no proper workforce management—scheduling is controlled by a long-tenured CS member and appears based on favoritism rather than fairness. Power-tripping is common, and if you fall out of favor or request leave, you can easily be pushed out. HR offers no real protection. I experienced this firsthand. Despite meeting my KPIs, I was terminated after being transparent about a leave request. Performance does not protect CS employees here. Overall, this is a stressful, demoralizing workplace with no psychological safety or growth, especially for Customer Support. I strongly advise against working here.
