Pros
Every day we get work on creating innovative technology that makes a difference to those whose lives are affected by back pain. It is an incredible and rewarding experience that makes me excited to come to work every day. That's the reason why I became a Mechanical Engineer, to help people and where better to do that than at a medical device company like SpineFrontier. I have worked at multiple start-up and smaller companies but the experience you receive here is far superior. How many companies are out there where you get to develop a relationship with the CEO of the company and have the ability to reach out and innovate? Given that we are a small company we have a lot of projects in the pipeline and have high expectations. There is limitless potential to what you will be able to work on as long as you can show that you can deliver on the expectations. You are not just a number here and do not sit in a cubicle all day. Everyday is different in a great way. I have had the ability to learn so much everyday through working here that I am extremely thankful for. We are able to work on projects throughout the entire development process from concept creation to seeing it used in live surgery, which is extremely motivating. We are a hardworking team that is tight knit and work together to get the job done. I have even recommended to some of my friends to apply and we have been working together ever since. We have a good work life balance and definitely have the work hard and play hard mentality. I am looking forward to have been and continue to be part of the future of this company and how we can positively impact the healthcare industry.
Cons
We are a small company, which means everything you do matters. There are high expectations and you will be tested. If you thrive off of being challenged you will be given more opportunities and go far here.
