      Pros

      Opportunity to work from home. Ability to be paid for production. Can travel and also be at work.

      Cons

      Benefits and paid time off are not offered to part time employees. At times ,there is not work to be done, and as we are paid for production, our time is not compensated, Need to sit and wait at the computer, feels like a waste of time. As I am at home, it is difficult to have any relationship with others in the workplace. I think that others may have a better ability to collaborate online than i do.

      Pros

      Small company, so you need to do everything. Great team, Awesome and very technical boss. You will learn fast.

      Cons

      As a small company, is great for starting, but misses all the big companies advantages.

      Pros

      Working from home is a definite plus. The company provides the equipment and software necessary to do the job. Another plus is being able to flex your schedule should the need arise.

      Cons

      Compensation at Spheris is poor. I am making less now than I did 9 years ago and working harder. When questioned about possible pay rate increases, the company responds with "work harder and you will make more money." A few years ago we had a good health insurance and vision insurance package but that was changed to less coverage for more money on the employees part. Also, recently the company stopped contributing to our 401-K plan. The company instituted speech recognition with a lower pay rate for SR jobs than transcribed jobs which is totally unfair as the SR jobs often take longer.
