Transport allowance and cheap food at staff canteen

I was in the BuildTech series of shows and reported to a very authoritative Manager, who micro manages to the extreme. She reports for work after 11am, and calls for meetings within short notice at 12pm (lunch time), and at 5 to 6pm (near knock off time). Meetings are very unproductive, stretching beyond 2 hours with the Manager going off topic and calling for toilet and smoking breaks. Common to receive work related whatsapp messages from 7am and even during office hours. Spent more time replying to these messages than actually working. Very unproductive work environment, under an indecisive Manager. Frequent and almost daily non stop edits to brochures, more than 30 times until the vendor threatened to stop work. Extremely long hours in the office due to unproductive work. Often asked to stay back till past 9pm, although work is done, because the Manager likes to stay back late in office.

laid back environment, a good place to retire without much expectations of their staff.

People are lazy and utilize outdated ways of management and running things. Very disorganized work place. Due to non-enforced work hours, your boss may come in at 2 PM and force you to work till midnight. Not much area for growth in terms of learning and development. Very high turnover rate, my role saw 4 different people executing it within 3 years.
