Speechify has offered me an unparalleled startup experience that allows me to move fast as engineers, centered on product development and creating a real-world impact. And I say this coming from big tech companies (FAANG) with thousands engineers, I have enjoyed my unique journey at Speechify over the past year. A key highlight is the significant emphasis on developer velocity, which has not only been a breath of fresh air but also a much-appreciated change. Furthermore, the remote-first culture allows me to harness the benefits of a flexible work environment, as we can work from anywhere across the globe.
Cons
As a relatively new and small organization, Speechify does face some growing pains. There are some aspects in the company that are still unstructured. But, this doesn't signify an oversight or lack of concern from the organization; it's more about the fact that they probably haven't reached that stage yet. It's important to remember that employees are encouraged to share their feedback with management, creating an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Impressively, the leadership has always been quick and responsive in implementing feedback, which has promoted a more fluid and efficient workspace.
