Pros

You end up meeting some great people to work alongside and you can tell they just believe in good work. Would give more stars overall for this one pro but these individuals end up leaving too -- most of the time these friendships survive outside of the workplace.

Cons

No mentorship, no company direction, no development, no growth, people speaking out of both sides of their mouth, etc. Toxic work environment due to a handful of individuals that seem to be able to get away with anything they want (vaping indoors, screaming, undermining, etc) with no consequences. These individuals are also then protected since the CEO seems to scared to do anything about them even when proven track record that they can't keep clients due to their bad attitudes. Good people are overworked and then reprimanded if they can't finish the thousands of tasks delved out to them. CEO who turns a blind eye to problems since everything is about the bottom line and just lacking the quality of a leader to do the right thing for the people of the company who are the foundation. On the benefits side, forget about having a family and being the breadwinner of your home. The benefits are good for the individual but no true coverage for dependents especially if you plan on having any children.

Pros

Flexibility. The company invests in our growth, and leadership will always go to bat for the team. Flexible PTO. Fully remote. We’re a small, “no-ego” PR agency where you get to take more ownership of your work and accounts. There’s not a lot of red tape or layers of management. How many agencies let you pitch ideas directly to the co-founders? Donna and Chris are very entrepreneurial and always looking for new resources or opportunities to make work better.

Cons

We’re a small PR agency, which comes with its own set of pros and cons. If you’re looking for a strict “9-to-5” role, this probably isn’t the place for you. There will be times when you’ll need to start early or sign off late. Is that every day? Absolutely not. Is it even every week? No. But it does happen. In a PR agency, client emergencies are part of the territory, and when they arise, we need all hands on deck. (That’s also why we offer flexible PTO—to give our team time to recharge). If your mindset is ever “That’s not my job” or “That’s below my responsibilities,” this won’t be a good fit for you.

Pros

If you enjoy working at dysfunctional companies with toxic work environments, then you might like working here. Otherwise, you're better off avoiding this company!

Cons

The managers here are the worst! They are toxic, hostile, and demanding; they're rude to employees, constantly make the most unreasonable demands, and couldn't care less about their well-being! Unless you want to suffer, avoid Sparkpr at all costs!
