Ineffective Management and morale problems - Anonymous employee Space Telescope Science Institute Employee Review

Leadership and management are largely ineffective. Some of the best technical talent leaves in frustration while others become bitter in place. Gender bias is very evident on some teams. Crippled by the past; the Institute is no longer cutting edge but management still thinks it is and avoids the changes necessary to get there again. The class system is intentionally perpetuated and damaging to non-science staff. Lack of transparency.
