Pros

* Basically impossible to get fired * Extremely generous time off * Good health insurance * People are mostly nice

Cons

* Impossible to make any changes. Lots of people stuck in old ways of doing things. * If you're not passionate about space/astronomy, you will feel very unfulfilled. * Everything feels very slow, it takes forever to do simple code changes at time. They claim the engineering branch is Agile, but it's unlike any Agile I've ever done. * Work gets boring fast * Biggest con: PAY IS TOO LOW. Everyone here is paid way below average. It's enough, but it feels like you're shooting yourself in the foot staying to long.

Pros

Great work life balance, compelling mission, good workplace culture. Awesome amount of paid time off

Cons

Low pay for engineers. Doing a good job is rewarded with a paper certificate and pat on the back. Don’t expect a promotion and if you do get one don’t expect much of a raise
