Pros

The company is led by experienced and stable leadership who genuinely care about their employees and foster a culture of trust—treating staff as capable professionals rather than micromanaging. The team is composed of highly respected leaders in the space community, known for their strong technical foundations and commitment to excellence, which has built a brand of high-performing employees. The organization is well-connected and diversified within the space sector, offering meaningful opportunities for growth and maintaining a trusted, respected reputation among its customer base.

Cons

One downside is that the company does not currently hold any prime contracts.

Pros

My time at SSI as a SETA has given me significant independence and the ability to provide my customers with unbiased, expert technical advice. Leadership is exceptional: both the CEO and President have industry backgrounds and genuinely care for employees. They are approachable and present at company meetings. The compensation and benefits package is very generous, supporting both personal and family needs. The company culture is collaborative and friendly-teamwork is a core value, and colleagues are always willing to help each other succeed. The president and CEO are very selective in who they bring into the company which bolsters SSI’s brand. Working at a small company means my contributions are visible and valued, and I have more opportunities for professional growth and learning.

Cons

SETA work is geared towards directly supporting the customer and therefore career advancement may require more initiative and self-direction due to the naturally flat organizational structure.
