Pros

Health benefits, 401 k options, easy commute

Cons

The marketing team is a revolving door, talented people are driven away by inexperienced management who look for excuses to paint them as uncollaborative or not a team player or good fit

Pros

Small company with limited growth opportunities, ideal for anyone looking to wind down their career with minimal responsibilities. Job security is practically guaranteed, as they welcome anyone who’s been let go from other fragrance houses with open arms. Not the place for those seeking innovation, challenge, or advancement (biggest challenge is working with management).

Cons

- Lack of boundaries within cross-functional teams. - The company’s HR department lacks professionals with formal credentials and specialized expertise in human resources, which could affect their ability to fully and properly support employees. - The work environment is challenging at times, with some long-tenured employees displaying behavior that may feel intimidating or dismissive to newer team members. - Limited autonomy in the workplace, as upper management closely monitors employees’ activities, schedules, and break times, while paying less attention to individual performance and actual contributions. - There seems to be a focus on critiquing rather than supporting employee growth and development. - There are instances of gaslighting that can make employees feel undervalued and as though they are the source of negativity in the workplace. - Upper management tends to withhold information during interview process and assign more routine tasks once hired, which can detract from the responsibilities and opportunities associated with the position you were hired for. - There’s a high turnover rate across departments, largely due to limited opportunities for career advancements. - Lack of diversity and inclusivity in upper management, with certain behaviors that may reflect outdated perspectives on race and gender. If you are someone who is interviewing for this company, I cannot stress enough to ask the right questions before you sign your life away.
