Pros

Excellent benefits - nice office in DTLA. Brand itself has great mission statement and potential.

Cons

Be suspect of the series of glowing reviews posted AFTER negative ones. Strong marketing department. In the 12 months alone there have been three rounds of lay offs and several people left on their own (so we’re told). For a company with less than 60 people it’s outrageous the frequency and amount of turnover. The culture is driven by fear especially of the CFO who in addition to Finance has recently taken over Operations by forcing out the COO. There are emails and monthly meetings suggesting leadership is trying to foster a culture of growth and symbiosis but it’s empty words. The CFO is known to berate employees directly and openly disparage them to peers. While HR doesn’t technically report to him, all issues are discussed with him so if you speak up you get “laid off”.

Pros

This is a small, relatively young company which means there are tons of potential growth opportunities. You can learn as much as you are willing to, working with a tight crew and lots of collaboration between departments. The benefits are unmatched in any job I've heard of. Management is approachable and able to be flexible and creative to help you meet your goals.

Cons

Because it is such a small organization, there is a lot of crossover in terms of job duties. A lot of tasks that don't really seem to match your job description might fall on your desk because there is not a person or department specifically designated to handle them.

Cons

Not much room for advancement. A little boring.
