Thank you taking time to leave a review – even difficult feedback is important to hear. I am sorry to hear your time at Sovos was not satisfactory and I want to take a moment to address your comments. We strive to create a positive work environment, and we know our compliance services teams play a direct role in customer satisfactory. In operations, we help ensure our customers meet their reporting obligations. We are at the mercy of the federal, state, and other jurisdictions that control the requirements we are helping our customers meet. We ensure we are connected within the industry to influence these aspects. At the same time, it’s extremely important we focus on things we can control. We’re currently investing into our teams more than ever. Two things I’m particularly excited about is both our newly declared enablement function who has a priority to continuously improve our training and documentation across our global teams, as well as automation to take those more basic, time-consuming tasks off our plate so we can focus on the more rewarding, strategic aspects of customer delivery. Regarding your comment on bad management, we hold those in leadership positions at high standards and enable them to meet these through our required Manager Boot Camp. We encourage an open-door policy with any issues that may arise and our success is dependent on a continuous feedback loop. This is a multi-faceted approach that includes 1:1 meetings with employees and their manager every couple of weeks to stay in touch on projects, plans, and address any concerns; team and departmental meetings and newsletters; written communications through our company intranet, team distribution lists and MS Teams channels; a twice monthly all company open mic with our CEO, and more. We always encourage employees that if for some reason they don’t feel comfortable communicating directly with your manager, our HR team as well as our CEO, Kevin Akeroyd, will help escalate and resolve these problems in a timely manner. I would have loved the opportunity to speak with you directly. Lastly, to address your comment on bad pay, please be assured that we regularly review compensation structures and are committed to being both fair and competitive in our market. Our Total Rewards package does not only include compensation, but also offers several benefits intended to support employees in a variety of ways. In the U.S. specifically this includes our beloved myTime flexible time off program. As we continue to evolve, we will continue monitor our compensation rates as well as our benefits packages to ensure that we are supporting employees within and outside of the workplace. We thank you for taking the time to leave a review and wish you the best of luck as you continue to progress in your career. - Dominic Constandi, Chief Customer Officer

Thank you for sharing this, and welcome to the team! It's wonderful to hear that your recruiting experience set such a positive tone from the start. Cassie is a great example of the kind of Sovosians we are proud to have representing our culture, and knowing she made you feel informed and at ease throughout the process genuinely matters to us. We also love hearing that your first day onboarding helped you connect with our values and get a feel for what we do. That experience is something we work hard to get right, and your feedback confirms it's landing the way we intend. We're glad you're here, and we look forward to growing together. Pros

Being Remote and standard benefits

Cons

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback matters, even when we see things differently. Quota-setting and new hire ramp structures are areas we invest in seriously - they're because we want our sellers to win, not to set anyone up to fail. That's the culture we've built, and it's one I'm proud of. That said, I do hear that your experience hasn't matched that intent. If there are specific gaps in how you were onboarded or supported, I'd genuinely like to understand them so we can keep getting better. Please connect with HR or reach out to me directly. We're committed to building a team where every rep has a real shot at success! Alice Katwan, President of Revenue, Sovos
