Pros

There is no shortage of interesting projects and knowledgeable people to learn from at Sovos. The environment is fast-paced but if you're able to keep up you'll continually find challenging new opportunities that test your skills and teach you new ones.

Cons

With the fast-paced environment comes a set of challenges. Employees that are used to being able to have tons of time to ponder or make decisions by committee will be in for a rude awakening. Everyone is expected to contribute and the company culture doesn't always enable slowpokes.

And, I give them this advice: “Find interesting business problems and solve them, regardless of your experience, your specific role or your location.” We do our best to create an environment where everyone can make an impact and learn through the process, and I’m grateful to hear you experienced the benefits of that first hand. I feel lucky every day to be surrounded by authentic, talented and driven people like you. It’s how I learn. Every day I learn something from someone on the team, and I’m happy I got to learn from you. I’m glad you, too, found value in learning from people with different background and experiences. You are right, though, we run at a fast pace. We’re in a market that is transforming under our feet, and we owe it to our customers to adapt quickly and to push ourselves to get better every single day. It’s not an environment for everyone, but it’s amazing to see people embrace it and contribute in ways they never thought possible. Your comments are a good reminder that we should make sure we stay in touch with how all our people are feeling about our pace -- and challenge ourselves as leaders to provide them with everything they need to learn, grow and thrive in our unique culture. I had a great experience thru the Recruiting process with Sovos. Cassie was very honest and open answering all my questions.

There were no cons at all.

Pros

Being Remote and standard benefits

Cons

Sales leadership is horrendous. New people are brought in not trained, aggressive targets (that have never been hit) usually designed to be the escape goats to protect the old guard. Long tenured sales protects the existing power structures. When results slip, they blame newer reps. New hires don’t hit, quotas unrealistic, weak implementation. Nightmare of a company, the worst I have ever worked at.

Quota-setting and new hire ramp structures are areas we invest in seriously - they're because we want our sellers to win, not to set anyone up to fail.
